Alex and Hannah, the owners, made you feel very welcome. Good choices on the menu The food was delicious. It's a small cafe, so sometimes you wait a little longer for the food to be prepared, but it wasn't long for us. If you're ever in Barnstaple, it's a lovely place to eat.

Love this cafe we visited a few weeks ago. The menu is reasonably priced given the focus on quality, making it a perfect spot for breakfast, coffee and cake—or even something more substantial. When we visited, I went straight for The Big One. They serve breakfast until 2pm which is great news if you’re a late riser or if you’ve been out the night before! The Big One is for those with an immense appetite (14.95) but there are smaller options available. T went for the Ultimate BLT Handcrafted Sandwich (11.95), swapping crisps for fries for an extra 2.25 from their lunch menu which also includes paninis, toasties and jacket potatoes to mention a few things. I can safely say that the cooked breakfast was an immensely satisfying plate of food. The meat is sourced from a nearby butcher and you could taste the quality; the bacon was thick and flavourful, and the sausages were meaty and dense. It came together like every big breakfast should—with lots of toast and a good cuppa on the side. The Ultimate BLT was an absolute behemoth—packed full of thick cut bacon and served with fries (a new option on the menu, swapped for crisps). The soft fresh bread kept packed sandwich together in a chunky bacon filled parcel – you need a big mouth to chomp it in one! Along with breakfasts and lunches, there are fresh cakes and their legendary waffles, for those with a sweet tooth you have plenty of choice. They're very dog friendly and willing to go that extra mile for customers

Just wow, beautiful food and a friendly helpful welcome. Will return several times before I have to go home! Came back today, still the only cafe worth visiting in Barnstaple, absolutely stunning

We are frequent visitors to this cafe. Posting a review as we found out the owners make cakes on top of running the cafe (and sister cafe in Bideford). They made a fantastic birthday cake for my wife who lives Kinder Bueno. Not only is the food brilliant in the cafe, but the cake order was exceptional too. Fully recommend and thank you to the owners for always accommodating needs.

Been here twice this week alone which initself speaks volumes. Such a wonderful little cafe the owner who is also the chef is just so lovely top guy. Amazing food great job the server was also brilliant friendly and helpful nothing is to much trouble for these guys highly reccomend this cafe. The milkshakes are incredible infact best milkshakes I've ever had can't wait to return again. Thanks so much guys keep smashing it see you in a couple weeks x

A really lovely little cafe with a good selection of both food & drink. Very dog friendly. Our dog got treated to a full plate of food! Close to the station as well (10 mins). No toilet inside but owners told us of some close by toilets so no issue for us at all. Would 100% come back.

The coffee is amazing, the service was great, and the food tasty. The owners were so friendly and accommodating, and the decor is really pretty with fairy lights. The only drawback is there is no toilet, but there are toilets around the place you can use. However, no toilet would not stop us visiting again if we were in the area, and if we lived locally, this would become my place to get my daily flat white.

First time here and it will not be the last. Lovely little independent cafe/coffee shop. We only had afternoon tea and it was delicious, the scones were huge, filled me right up. Friendly approachable staff, and dogs are more than welcome.
